His eyes closed for the last time
Tears rolled down mine,
School teacher nicknames
Secret shames,
Shared misery,
And trivial tomfoolery
Indeed a part of me has died with him
How could …
Words fail
A lively man taken away when he was uphill
When so many rotten mongers still exercise their will
I looked for him in the laughs we shared,
The late night soaps we saw but for which no one cared,
Looked for him in the popcorn we ate,
And the drinks we enjoyed when dinner was going to be late,
In the irrelevant questions that our masters enjoyed asking
In the Alsatian dog oblivious to everything that kept barking
Yes he is alive
The Gatekeepers of the universe let no man reach their parts
Unless the length, breadth and height of the soul reach all our hearts
Today I know to share myself more thoroughly with everyone
Someday not so far off I shall be consigned to the Gatekeepers of the universe
My kith, kin and worldly fellows will know where to shower the flowers
